All-Morning Classes, 9:00 am - 11:50 am

Nursery - $0

We have a nursery available for infants-2 years old who have older siblings in 2nd grade or above attending the co-op.. The nursery will have at least 2 adults in it at all times. There is no charge for the nursery; however, you will be responsible for providing all nut-free snacks, drinks, diapers, etc. for your child.

Preschool -$15

Available for 3 and 4 year old children (as of first day of co-op) who have older siblings in 2nd grade or above attending the co-op. There will be a variety of subjects covered through hands on learning and play. This class is a courtesy class for our younger children and is a supplement to anything they are learning at home with you. One class period will also be used for a snack/recess time. Please follow age guidelines when signing up regardless what level curriculum your child is working on at home. You will be responsible for all drinks and nut-free snacks for your child.

Kindergarten - $20

Available for 5 and 6 year (as of first day of co-op) old children who have older siblings in 2nd grade or above attending the co-opStudents will stay in one classroom for the entire morning and will have some form of mathematics and reading, as well as other areas of learning. This class is a supplement to what your child is learning at home with you.  One class period will also be used for a snack/recess time. Please follow age guidelines when signing up regardless what level curriculum your child is working on at home.  You will be responsible for providing all nut-free snacks and drinks for your child.

1st Grade - $25

Available for 6 and 7 year (as of first day of co-op) old children who have older siblings in 2nd grade or above attending the co-opStudents will stay in one classroom for the entire morning and will learn the basics for language, math, and science through science experiments and other hands on learning techniques. One class period will also be used for a snack/recess time. Please follow age guidelines when signing up regardless what level curriculum your child is working on at home. You will be responsible for providing all nut-free snacks and drinks for your child.

Glow Art, 2nd-3rd grades - $25

In Glow Art this year we will journey through outer space as we learn about planets, nebulas, our solar system, constellations, and more while creating incredible works of art and an out-of-this-world end of year display. Each week in class, we turn off the lights and turn on the black lights to create our glowing neon paintings, sculptures, and hanging mobiles.​

Gather Round Energy, 2nd-3rd grades - $15

What is energy, where does it come from, and why is it so important? Join us for an awesome energy adventure with Gather Round's Energy unit! Students will become super sleuth scientists to answer these questions through various hands-on activities and practical applications.​

​

P.E., 4th-5th grades - $5

P.E. Class will consist of fun exercising games. We will teach kids good exercise habits while having fun and exhibit good sportsmanship. Dodgeball, jump rope, soccer, basketball, and kickball are just some of the many activities we will be doing for the kids.

Egypt, 4th-5th grades - $20

In this class we will dig into a variety of subjects including geography, engineering, religion, anatomy, and history through topics like pyramids, mummies, Egyptian gods and goddesses, daily life in ancient Egypt, hieroglyphs, Egypt in the Bible and more. Together we will unearth and explore one of the most incredible ancient civilizations and the lasting impacts it has had on the world today.

Head to Toe, 4th-5th grades - $10

Get ready to explore the amazing machine that is you! In this fun, hands-on class, students will dive into the fascinating world of human anatomy. We’ll learn about the body’s major systems — including the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems — and discover how they all work together to keep us alive and healthy.

Baking, 6th-8th grades - $45

Let's bake some goodies! We will learn different baking techniques and learn fun recipes!​

​

National Parks, 6th-8th grades - $10

Explore 13 of the 63 National Parks around the USA. We will learn and discuss the different features of each location- where they are located, history, geography, climate, what is inside the park, as well as animals and plants native to the area. We will also discuss some conspiracy theories surrounding the parks, such as Bigfoot, potential link between national parks/cave systems and missing people, and many others.

 

Fundamentals Drama, 6th-12th grades - $20

This class will be focusing on activities, short scene performances, and improv games to help students build self-confidence as they learn drama and speech skills. These acting exercises focus on stage movement, using props, showing emotion through facial expression, movement with music, and speaking in front of an audience. Our goal is to develop effective oral expression and stage presence, as well as learning fundamental theater-related terms and concepts.

 

**This class is perfect for beginners, students who are shy or need more practice speaking and performing, and students who want to perform but can't commit to extra outside rehearsals that the advanced class requires. We will have a short non-speaking skit in the end of the semester party, and will not require any outside rehearsals ***except for the last 2 dress rehearsals, the last day of co-op and day of production.

Study Hall, 6th-12th grades - $0

Study Hall is for middle/high schoolers who need to do homework, study, or other busy work in a quiet environment. Each student must have busy work to do the entire class period.​

Dave Ramsey Financial Peace, 9th-12th grades - $40

This course is a complete, dynamic, high school curriculum written by Dave Ramsey. It teaches students about saving, investing, credit, debt, money management, and more from a biblical perspective. This class can count as either a high school elective credit or a consumer math credit. In order for your student to receive the full credit, they will need to take this class in both the Fall AND Spring semesters. They will be expected to complete all assignments, even if they miss a week of co-op. There will be work for them to complete at home during the week, and they will be graded on all assignments. With the exception of pen and paper, the class fee covers all materials needed this semester. â€‹

Chemistry, 9th-12th grades - $10

This high school two-semester course will cover foundational chemistry and chemistry lab. This course will require approximately 5 hours of course work outside of the co-op class per week. Pre-Algebra or Algebra should be completed before taking this class. Course work will include weekly in-class labs and instruction. At home, students will complete a weekly lab write-up, reading and tests through Master Books Chemistry curriculum. In addition, supplemental material and practice problems will be posted in Google Classroom. Each student will need access to Google Classroom and the internet at home to complete and submit their work.

Intermediate Guitar, 9th-12th grades - $0

Designed for students who have completed at least one year of guitar instruction at Step-Up. Experienced players will be moved up from Beginner Guitar based on the recommendation from the instructor.

​Using games, songs, simulations, and stories, students will discover the uniqueness of each state and geographical region in America through exploring flags, landforms, landmarks, and fun facts. Let’s explore our beautiful country together.​

Forensic Science, 6th-8th grade - $15

​This hands-on class introduces students to the basic of forensic science and crime scene investigation. Through engaging lesson and experiments, students learn how science is used to solve crimes. ​

Lego Challenge, 6th-8th grade - $10

​Use problem solving and engineering techniques to design and build solutions to real-world problems, and maybe some fun made-up problems.

​

Beginning Guitar, 6th-12th grades - $0

Students who “pick” this class will learn to put the “strum” in “instrument.” This class is for students who have little or no experience playing guitar. The class will be working in one “A-chord” on a somewhat small “scale” as no more than 10 students will be in the class. Each student will need their own acoustic guitar. There will be an end of year performance.

Performance Drama, 6th-12th grades - $40

This class will be rehearsing a play that will be performed at the end of the semester party! Skills we will be focusing on include stage movement, using props, showing emotion through facial and body expression, and speaking in front of an audience.

Fundamentals of Drama or having been in Performance Drama is a prerequisite.

​*** THERE WILL BE REHEARSALS OUTSIDE OF CLASS and students are required to be there when they are scheduled. These rehearsals will be 1 to 2 hours per week. This is a commitment and a team effort, just like any class or sport. Students who continually miss with no prior notice may lose their part or not be allowed back the following semester. Toward the end of the semester, there will be a few rehearsals that will extend to 3 or 4 hours in length as they practice in full costume with props, sound, and lighting changes. If we need props and costumes, I will always try to borrow items before making purchases to save everyone money and storage space.

3D Art, 9th-12th grades - $40

3D art, art that stands on its own. Students will explore art in a variety of mediums that will be anything but typical. From pantings that try to escape to paper that is anything but flat, the kids will have a blast making art that feels alive. Come create with us!

Geography, 9th-12th grades - $15

We will explore world geography through fun activities and food while we learn about different countries, cultures, and regions. Students will have a research project and presentation to build speech and communication skills as we dive into countries around the world!

3rd Period Classes, 11:00 am - 11:50 am

Heroes from History, 2nd-3rd grades - $10

Heroes from History: Come explore the lives of boys and girls who changed the world, used their talents, made history, didn’t give in, and made a difference! Using the Light Keepers series about boys and girls of faith and courage, we’ll look at the life and character of heroes like C.S. Lewis, Ruth Bell Graham, George Washington Carver, and Elisabeth Elliott, and see how God used them to impact the world.

Use your imagination and an assortment of Lego to build many different things, while working cooperatively with others. A majority of our focus will be on simple machines.

Who Would Win?, 4th-5th grades - $15

This class will take a look into the "Who Would Win?" book series. We will deep dive into the animals presented, take guesses as to who would win, create fact sheets, and compare and contrast their similarities and differences. We will also look into food webs and food chains, play and create topic relative games, and end the semester with a habitat diorama and fact pamphlet of one of our studied animals. 

*If you have these books in your home, help us use our logic skills in class by having these books unavailable to your students for the semester*

Low Elements, 6th-8th grades - $15

Work together, build trust, and have fun! In this class, you’ll take on group challenges and low element activities that test your teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. It’s all about cooperation, confidence, and supporting each other.

Astronomy, 6th-8th grades - $10

Students will learn a wide array of subjects related to our universe. Learning topics include the solar system, life cycle of a star, black holes, human exploration of space, the International Space Station, and more. They will participate in astronomy experiments and give presentations.

Study Hall, 6th-12th grades - $0

Study Hall is for middle/high schoolers who need to do homework, study, or other busy work in a quiet environment. Each student must have busy work to do the entire class period.​

 

Intro to Software Development, 9th-12th grades -  $0

Intro to Software Development. We will cover Front End/UI development using HTML and Javascript, back-end/server side development using c# and using SQL to query databases. We will wrap the class by building a hybrid application together that could be used as a web app or a mobile app.
*Students must have their own laptop that is not a chrome book*

Advanced Guitar, 9th-12th grades - $0

This class is for third-year students who have taken the beginner and intermediate classes, have board approval to advance or for those recommended to be placed at this level after an audition video has been sent in. There will be an end of year performance.

Bake Ahead Meals, 9th-12th grades - $200 *Two payment option available*

Take and Bake is a cooking class in which students learn skills for one pot/pan cooking. These meals are great for students to learn to cook ahead for the family or prep a meal for families in need. Each week students will get a meal to take home for the whole family which would feed 4-6. The class fee averages to $13 per meal/week.

Students in this class will also prepare meals for coop families.

Social Media & Graphic Design for Freelancers, 9th-12th grades - $0

In this hands-on course, students will learn how to use design tools like Canva and CapCut to create logos, videos, and branding content—just like real freelancers. They'll also learn how to use social media as a tool for business and marketing, not just entertainment. By the end of the semester, each student will have a professional online portfolio showcasing their work. Includes a dedicated Social Media Safety Week focused on online responsibility. Students must bring: a laptop or Chromebook.
